A survey has revealed that nearly one in six people in Britain will refuse a COVID-19 vaccine if and when one becomes available, and a similar number are unsure whether they will get one.
These attitudes are being linked to an increase in anti-vaccination sentiment on social media, and experts are concerned that they will pose a threat to efforts to contain the disease.
Dr Nick Flynn, GP with MyCorkGP, joined us for our weekly medical consultation to talk about this and the latest developments in the race to find a vaccine.
He also discussed reports from the World Heath Organization that the virus could be airborne.
