A photograph has been widely circulated on social media showing champion horse trainer Gordon Elliott sitting on top of a dead horse.
There had been some speculation that the photograph was a fake or had been digitally manipulated. However, Elliott himself confirmed that it was genuine and had been taken "some time ago".
Elliott has apologised for the photo, which is now a subject of an investigation by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board.
Philip Quinn of the Irish Daily and animal rights campaigner and commentator John Carmody joined us to discuss the controversy.
