Sinn Féin has condemned a former party member who was caught trolling people on social media.
Paul Heffernan from Wexford used an anonymous Twitter account to send abusive messages to politicians from other parties as well as other high-profile individuals. He was forced to resign from Sinn Féin after being caught.
Fine Gael TD Jennifer Carroll MacNeill is calling for Mary Lou McDonald to take action against trolls who she says are "damaging political discourse".
She was joined on Tech Tuesday by Andy O'Donoghue, who explained what social media companies can do about trolling and how to report it if it happens to you.
Andy also discussed the COVID Tracker app fixes for Android users and the formation of Facebook Financial.
