Holidays around the world are being cancelled and postponed due to COVID-19, but Sicily is gearing up to welcome visitors later this year with a very tempting offer.
The island, which has lost around €1 billion in tourism-related revenue since Italy went into lockdown in March, will now cover half the cost of visitors' flights and a third of their hotel expenses, as well as offering free tickets to museums and archaeological sites.
But will it be enough of an incentive to book a holiday, or will many people still be nervous about travelling?
