A French pensioner was ejected from a fighter jet at 2,500 feet when a retirement present went wrong, according to a report by French aviation investigators.
The 64-year-old man was given a surprise flight in a £70 million fighter jet for his retirement, but was flung out of the plane when he grabbed the ejector seat handle to "steady himself".
He landed in a field using his parachute and suffered minor injuries. The incident was captured on a Go-Pro which had been attached to the man's helmet by his colleagues.
