Donald Trump's speech to mark Independence Day attracted attention for all the wrong reasons.
The US President spoke about how American soldiers "took over airports" during the War of Independence in the 1770s.
His comments caused a great deal of confusion as well as amusement, with many pointing out that there were no planes or airports in the 18th century.
Trump has since claimed that the rain interfered with his ability to read the teleprompter.
