The Garda watchdog has raised "serious concerns" about protocols for dealing with incidents involving Gardaí who might abuse their power for sexual gain.
The issue was addressed in a major new report on the threat of internal corruption within An Garda Síochána.
Drug use was another concern addressed in the report, with the Garda Inspectorate recommending that substance misuse procedures should be introduced.
