The US state of Alabama has passed a bill which will ban abortion in almost all cases, including those of rape and incest.
The only exceptions would be cases in which the mother's health is deemed to be in danger.
Performing an abortion will be a felony, punishable by up to 99 years in prison.
The bill was voted in by 25 of the Alabama senate's 27 Republicans, all of whom are white men.
It means that Alabama will now have the strictest abortion laws of any US state.
Marion McKeone and Cal Thomas joined us to discuss this decision.
