The Financial Services Union (FSU) has said that companies should change their computer systems to force staff working from home to log off and take breaks.
The union is proposing that IT systems be designed to force log-offs for legally required breaks and that additional hours of work should be logged.
It comes on the back of a survey of FSU members, which found that 44% of staff currently working from home feel pressure to answer calls and emails outside of paid working hours.
To discuss this we were joined by John O'Connell, General Secretary of the FSU, who also outlined why the union has been part of a push for a four-day working week.
