US Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away on Friday at the age of 87.
In her 27 years on the bench, she became known as a champion of women's rights and other liberal causes.
Her final statement, released after her death, read: "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed."
However, Donald Trump suggested that the statement may have been faked by the Democrats, and he intends to nominate a successor "without delay".
Cal Thomas and Lorcan Nyhan joined us for our weekly US slot to discuss this.
