TikTok has become one of the world's most popular social media apps, with an estimated 800 million monthly active users, around 10% of which are in the United States.
However, President Donald Trump recently stated that he wanted to ban the app, which is owned by Chinese company ByteDance.
There are fears among US government officials that the Chinese government might force TikTok to share data it collects about Americans.
