Just over 3,100 emergency calls which were made by domestic violence victims to 999 were cancelled by gardai between 2019 and last October.
Gardai investigating these cancelled calls are also examining more than 19,000 other cancelled emergency calls related to priority one crimes such as sexual assaults and burglaries.
