A college has apologised to students after two lecturers were overheard insulting their virtual presentations.
The lecturers at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology forgot to switch their cameras off after the presentations, and were overheard discussing students' work.
One student's presentation was described as being "painful" to listen to, while the lecturers also appeared to speculate about whether another student had a disability.
GMIT's president said the incident was being taken very seriously and apologised "wholeheartedly" to the students concerned.
