WhatsApp has delayed its new privacy policy for several months after many users expressed concern about how much of their data would be shared with Facebook.
Although the company has since stressed that groups and messages will continue to be protected with end-to-end encryption, the initial confusion resulted in millions of users signing up for alternative apps.
