A dental clinic in Tenerife has informed local police about a number of Irish people who have looked for appointments there to get around COVID-19 restrictions.
At least 50 Irish people have either phoned or emailed the clinic requesting a letter or email of appointment, but none have actually turned up for their appointments.
It comes as the government announced that fines for non-essential travel would be increased from €500 to €2,000.
