It's hay fever season, but this year the situation is complicated by the fact that some of the symptoms are similar to COVID-19.
In some people, hay fever can trigger allergic asthma, causing a tight chest and difficulty breathing. So how can you tell the difference?
Hay fever sufferers will often present with red, itchy, watery eyes, which are not symptoms of COVID-19. Sinus pain, pressure and congestion are also associated with hay fever, but have not been reported among COVID-19 patients.
