A man who attacked Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish during Sunday's derby game against Birmingham City has received a 14-week prison sentence.
Paul Mitchell invaded the pitch in the early stages of the game and punched Grealish around the back of the head and neck.
In addition to his prison sentence, he was also ordered to pay compensation and was banned from attending games for ten years.
Two other similar incidents also occurred over the weekend.
Chris Smalling was shoved by a fan who invaded the pitch during Manchester United's clash with Arsenal, while in Scotland, another fan confronted Rangers captain James Tavernier when they played Hibernian.
How should fans who run onto the pitch during games be dealt with?
Mark Lawrenson and Tony Cascarino discussed this and all the weekend's Premier League action.
