Should smart home devices such as Amazon's Alexa be able to spy on users to catch them engaging in immoral behaviour?
That's the idea of researchers in Norway, Luxembourg and China who have presented a paper on artificial intelligence.
Their proposal is that devices would be equipped with moral reasoning technology which would issue verbal warnings or even report back to parents whose children may be doing something they shouldn't.
Would this a good idea or a step too far?
Andy O'Donoghue joined us for Tech Tuesday to discuss this, the new drone bill going through the Dáil, and foldable mobile phones.
