Sarah Maria Griffin has been a regular contributor on The Last Word, particularly to our weekly gaming slot.
Her main role is as a fiction author, and her latest novel, Other Words for Smoke, is out now.
Described as "speculative fiction", it is primarily a coming of age novel set around a haunted house.
Sarah says: "I write for myself when I was 19, for people who are looking for something a little bit different."
She joined us on The Last Word to speak more about her storytelling influences, the continued importance of reading in the lives of young people and why "people who love to read will always read."
