RTÉ has been hit hard by COVID-19, and it was announced this week that the broadcaster will avail of the government's temporary wage subsidy scheme.
It was also confirmed that there could be a sharp decline in advertising revenue of between 25% and 35% for the year.
There has also been talk of a TV licence moratorium, but Communications Minister Richard Bruton has said he doesn't intend to seek this.
