Record numbers of people are now in hospital with COVID-19, with HSE Chief Executive Paul Reid saying that Ireland has exceeded the peak level of the first wave.
As of today there are 921 people in hospital, compared to 817 yesterday.
There are 88 people in intensive care units, which is around half of the peak in April.
