Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo has come under fire for delaying the release of data on COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes.
However, he insisted that these deaths were not covered up by the state.
Cuomo acknowledged that officials should have moved faster to release some information sought by lawmakers, the public and the press, but stated that "all the deaths in the nursing homes and hospitals were always fully, publicly and accurately reported".
