Following Ireland's disappointing Six Nations campaign, there are some fans who feel Conor Murray hasn't hit the heights he is capable of since coming back from injury.
It's something Murray is aware of, but he says there is no need for people to worry: "When things are going well, you probably get overly praised, and when things are going poorly, you get overly criticised."
He thinks social media has made it easier for criticisms to reach players, and while he thinks fan engagement is a good thing, he says that paying too much attention to negative comments expressed online can be dangerous.
"At this stage in my career, I know to stay away from that kind of stuff as it's not a realistic assessment of you."
"Once you and your coaches know what's up and what you're trying to fix, that's all you really care about."
Murray spoke to us on The Last Word about these issues and looked ahead to Munster's Champions Cup semi-final against Saracens later this month.
