The average GP appointment takes ten minutes, but how can you make the most of the time available?
In our weekly medical consultation, Dr Ray Walley spoke about preparing for a GP visit and what you can do to ensure the experience is as helpful as possible.
His advice includes:
- Get your thoughts in line before making the phone call
- Write down a list of questions or concerns you want to bring up during the appointment
- If you are unsure about anything the doctor is saying, ask them to clarify
- Be as honest as you can about your symptoms or medical history
