A new report from the Irish Homebuilders Association has revealed that the time it takes to save for a deposit on a house varies greatly depending on which part of the country you live in.

The average time ranges from 1.7 years in Kilkenny to more than 15 years in Galway, Waterford, Cork and Dublin.

Annette Hughes, Director of EY Economic Advisory Services and co-author of the report, told us more.
