According to the National Cancer Registry, almost a third of cancers in Ireland could be preventable if people made changes to their lifestyle.
Around 6,200 cancer diagnoses a year are attributable to 11 modifiable risk factors.
Smoking is the number one risk factor in Ireland, being responsible for 13% of all cancers.
