A Dublin library has been forced to cancel a children's event hosted by a drag group following protests.
The Drag Story Time event was due to be held at Deansgrange Library for children aged 3-7, and was organised by the performance group Glitter Hole.
The library originally cited questions of "age appropriateness" as the reason for the cancellation, but the group also stated that they had received homophobic and abusive comments on social media.
Lisa Connell, managing editor of Gay Community News, and Dave O'Keeffe, People Before Profit councillor for Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown council, joined us to discuss the story.
