Leo Varadkar appeared on RTÉ's Operation Transformation earlier this week and learned his metabolic age.
The Taoiseach, a well-known fitness advocate, was surprised and visibly disappointed to find out that he has the metabolic age of a 53-year-old, despite the fact that he is only 40.
Metabolic age is measured by the amount of energy a person burns while resting, which is known as the basal metabolic rate.
Was it a good thing for Varadkar to appear on the programme, and does it send a positive message about looking after our health?
Alison Healy and Niall Shanahan discussed this and some of the other stories making the news this week, including the Liam Neeson racism row and why Jeff Bezos has accused the National Inquirer owner of blackmail.
