Leo Varadkar was in Cork this week for a cabinet meeting when he was confronted by protesters from the Irish Farmers Association.
The Taoiseach was greeted by chants of "Where's the beef, ye vegan", a reference to comments he had previously made about trying to eat less meat.
He has since denied claims of being a vegan, saying that he is "very much an omnivore".
