Kevin Barry is one of Ireland's leading novelists.
His latest book is Night Boat to Tangier, a story of two Irish criminals in their early fifties who go to Spain looking for one of their daughters, who has gone missing.
It deals with themes like grief and the sense of two men at the end of their criminal careers.
Discussing the writing process, Kevin said: "I try to keep it fun for myself. I don't want to write the same book over and over again."
He also talked about why most writers are insomniacs, and how living in isolation in rural Sligo impacts his writing.
