It's been 20 years since John Connolly published Every Dead Thing, the first book in his acclaimed Charlie Parker crime thriller series.
That series has sold over 10 million copies to date, and he has just written the 17th volume, A Book of Bones.
While the previous books were all set in Maine, this one has moved away from the United States.
It focuses on the murder of a young woman in Northern England, and is also partly set in Amsterdam and Mexico.
John Connolly joined us to discuss the book, the appeal of the crime fiction genre, and why he prefers to look beyond Ireland for inspiration for his stories.
John will be signing copies of the book at Dubray Books on Grafton Street, Dublin on Saturday at 12 noon.
