Thousands of secondary school students across Ireland took to the streets today calling for government action on climate change.
The global demonstrations were started by Swedish student Greta Thunberg several months ago.
Mira Henshci, a student at Educate Together Secondary School in Cork, joined us to explain why she was participating, citing a lack of political will from the government.
We were also joined by environmental journalist John Gibbons and his daughter Sophie, a Transition Year student in Dublin.
John said he was "blown away" by the demonstrations, which saw an estimated 10,000 people take part.
"The energy, enthusiasm and general buzz was like something I've never experienced."
