Parents of pupils attending Ratoath College are kiocking back against the replacement of bookd with iPads. Parents are concerned that students are spending too much time looking at screens and not using the iPads for schoolwork only.
The policy has been in place since 2014, according to Nicola Kearns who is a parent of a third-year student in the school.
"There is absolutely to say that being on an iPad only, replacing your digital or your printed texts is of any benefit to your academic performance," says Kearns.
Nick Killian, member of Ratoath College Board of Management and psychotherapist Stella O'Malley also speak to Matt on the matter.
