An uninterrupted supply of electricity is something that younger generations may take for granted.
John Fitzgerald, economics professor and member of The Climate Change Advisory Council, says while Ireland's system has been resilient so far, it will need more investment to ensure sure the country's electricity supply isn't impacted.
The comments come after the operators of the national electricity grid, EirGrid warned the country could be facing electricity blackouts this winter.
