A ban on the controversial sport of hare coursing was put in place in August by Minister for Culture Josepha Madigan, following the outbreak of a deadly virus affecting rabbits and hares.
Animal rights campaigners are now calling for the ban to be made permanent, while many Fine Gael TDs from rural areas are unhappy that it has not yet been lifted.
Independent TD Mattie McGrath and animal rights activist John Carmody joined us to debate whether or not the ban on hare coursing should remain in place.
