There have been calls for European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen to resign after a short-lived attempt to override part of the Brexit agreement on Northern Ireland to control vaccine shipments.
The EU has been embroiled in a row with AstraZeneca over vaccine shortages, but it has now been confirmed that AstraZeneca will deliver an additional nine million doses in the first three months of this year.
Meanwhile Pfizer will deliver 75 million extra doses of its vaccine in the second quarter of the year.
