All eyes were on Ellen DeGeneres when her talk show returned for a new season, as she finally addressed the toxic workplace allegations that emerged over the summer.
DeGeneres opened with a joke that her summer had been "terrific", before apologising to "the people who were affected."
She also added: "I've let myself down and I've hurt myself as well."
But the presenter's apology did not sit well with former employees of the show, who complained about incidents of sexual harassment, racism and intimidation.
Jennifer Gannon and Joe O'Shea discussed this and more in our weekly TV slot.
