Dr Marie Cassidy was one of the most well-known faces on Irish television news reports from 2004 to 2018 in her role as state pathologist.
But what was it that attracted her to the world of forensic pathology in the first place?
She has now written Beyond the Tape, a fascinating account of her career which also sheds light on some of the murder cases she has been involved with over the years.
Marie joined us on The Last Word to talk about her work.
Join Marie at an online event on 11 October, 5-6pm as part of Dublin Book Festival. Tickets are €20 and include a signed copy of the book; available from www.dublinbookfestival.com
