Donald Trump and his wife Melania have both tested positive for COVID-19.
Trump made the announcement in a tweet, just hours after claiming that "the end of the pandemic is in sight."
The Trumps were tested after White House counsellor Hope Hicks, who travelled to campaign events with the president's entourage this week, began showing symptoms.
