The number of coronavirus cases in the United States is continuing to climb, and Donald Trump has pushed pharmaceutical executives to develop a vaccine within "a couple of months".
Dr Tony Fauci, the country's most senior expert on the virus, reminded Trump during a briefing that he had already told him a vaccine would take at least a year to develop.
Trump responded, "I like the sound of a couple of months better."
Meanwhile the President's son, Donald Trump Jr., has accused some Democrats of politicising the coronavirus, claiming that they would like millions of Americans to die in order to bring his father down.
