Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has been criticised by Democrats for suggesting that he could run for President next year.
He made the announcement in an interview on CBS's 60 Minutes, saying that he could run as an independent.
Several leading figures in the Democratic party are not happy. They believe that if Schultz were to run, it would simply split the anti-Trump vote and inadvertently help re-elect him.
Schultz, a former Democrat himself, ruled out running for the party as he no longer feels they represent the majority of Americans. He also added that he was "certainly not going to do anything to put Donald Trump back into the Oval Office."
Cal Thomas and Marion McKeone discussed this in our US slot.
