Is the conventional car shape in decline?
It seems that the more traditional, well-loved cars such as hatchbacks and saloons are being outsold by SUVs and crossovers.
The fact that SUVs are often compromised on space doesn't seem to be a drawback for buyers, given their increase in popularity. Although the idea that they are safer than regular cars is a myth, they do have a higher driving position, which gives drivers a better sense of what is around them.
