Ireland has moved into the 'delay' phase of its efforts to tackle COVID-19, with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announcing a number of measures this morning.
Schools, colleges and crèches across the country are set to close until 29 March, along with cultural institutions.
The closure of schools and crèches in particular are likely to create difficulties for parents, many of whom will have to make alternative arrangements for childcare.
Minister for Education Joe McHugh joined us to discuss these measures in more detail.
We also spoke to Kieran Christie, General Secretary of the Association of Secondary Teachers in Ireland, and Karen Clince, founder and CEO of Tiger Childcare.
