There have been calls for some restrictions to be reimposed after the country reported 36 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the highest number in a month.

The Mater Hospital in Dublin has also confirmed that a doctor who worked there has died after contracting COVID-19, bringing the confirmed number of deaths among healthcare workers to eight.

Should we be returning to lockdown?

We spoke to Anthony Staines, professor of health systems at Dublin City University, who believes cross-country travel should be put on pause, as well as Dr Gabrielle Colleran, vice president of the Irish Hospital Consultants Association, and Pat King, CEO and co-founder of OneLook Systems.
