There have been calls for some restrictions to be reimposed after the country reported 36 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the highest number in a month.
The Mater Hospital in Dublin has also confirmed that a doctor who worked there has died after contracting COVID-19, bringing the confirmed number of deaths among healthcare workers to eight.
