Anyone who has ever lost their car key, or had it stolen, will know about the cost and effort of replacing it.
As most modern-day keys are electronic, with a chip programmed specifically to the car, having a replacement key made can be an expensive process, costing as much as €500 in some cases.
There are specialist locksmiths who deal specifically with car keys, or alternatively you can go directly to the car dealership.
