Patrick Nevin has been jailed for 12 years for raping one woman and sexually assaulting another.
He carried out the attacks after meeting both women through Tinder.
The story has resulted in calls to have sex offenders banned from using dating apps for life, with Fine Gael Senator Catherine Noone among those voicing their concerns.
But how realistic would it be to implement such a ban?
