Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe today announced a budget package worth €17.75 billion.
There will be a €3.4 billion recovery fund aimed at increasing employment. Remote workers can claim back costs such as broadband, heat and light, while the self-employed are set to benefit from increased tax credits.
A reduced VAT rate of 9% will also be in place for restaurants and the hospitality sector from 1 November until the end of next year.
