The Beacon Hospital has confirmed it administered 20 leftover COVID-19 vaccines to a number of teachers at St Gerard's School in Bray earlier this week.
The Irish Daily Mail also reported that the hospital's CEO, Michael Cullen, has children who attend the school.
In a statement, the hospital apologised and acknowledged that "the decision was not in line with the sequencing guidelines in place from the HSE".
