Average monthly rents across the country have hit a record high in the second quarter of the year.
According to a report by Daft.ie, the average rent is now €1,391 per month.
However, the rate of increase has slowed to its lowest level in five years.
The report's author, economist Ronan Lyons, said that this can more likely be attributed to limits in affordability rather than improvements in supply.
