Coronation Street is currently on our screens for six episodes a week, but it's looking increasingly likely that this could be extended to seven episodes a week in the near future.
One of the show's scriptwriters made the revelation in a recent interview with The Sun, but admitted that the cast and crew are already feeling the strain.
